Phi Day?

Patrick Stalter?

There are a number of edits to this article made by 141.151.247.98 referring to a certain "Patrick Stalter," born 1993. A quick google search for '"Patrick Stalter" 1993' returns next to nothing. Furthermore, the IP 141.151.247.98 seems to be in use by the user FluteDude1693. I think Patrick, a.k.a. FluteDude1693 is convinced he belongs on this page. Christopher of Bavaria?

He is listed as being both born and dead on January 6, 1448. The article on him says that he died this day, but was born February 26th.

On this page, he is listed as a January 126 birth. On the Benjamin Franklin article, it is said to be January 17. Rmpfu89 01:13, 17 December 2005 (UTC)

The accuracy of this statement is controversial:

1994 - Nancy Berrigan is clubbed on the right leg by an assailant under orders from figure skating rival Tonya Harding.

Ms. Harding was not convicted of any such crime and there was never any proof that she did. The information as to what Ms. Harding was convicted of doing is readily available. 12^th day of Christmas?

1535 - Francisco Pizarro founds the city of Lima, Peru ???

I removed this as the main articles on Lima, in both English and Spanish Wikipedia, give the foundation date as January 18. If anyone has a good reason to put this event back on this date, please give your reasons for doing so below. Perhaps the issue is that Pizarro arrived at the spot of the future Lima on this day?Interlingua 20:45, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Edison’s Last Patent

Apparently, today in 1931 saw Thomas Edison file his last patent.

I’ve just looked at the relevant page — Wikipedia’s own list of Edison’s patents — and found that the highest numbered patent — US 1908830 — was published on January 9th, 1931.

Before anyone moves or corrects it, can anyone find an alternative citation thats shows it being published on the 6th?

Christmas in Ukraine

Christmas in Ukraine is not an Epiphany celebration, but rather refers to the fact that most Ukrainians celebrate Christmas on Jan 7 (not the 6th) according to the Julian calendar. The Wikipedia article "Christmas in Ukraine" is about cultural practices, and it is misleading to say that Christmas 'starts' on Jan. 6. This is true only inasmuch as it would be true to say that Christmas in the west starts on Dec. 24. The article on Christmas says "some Eastern churches celebrate Christmas on the December 25 of the older Julian calendar, which currently corresponds to January 7 in the Gregorian calendar". Shouldn't the "Joan of Arc" entry be a *Death* rather than a birth?
